PVC Trim Curtain Rail

In this blog post, I will share my experience building a motorized curtain system for a bay window using the Switch Bot Curtain U-Rail Robot. I encountered issues with the radius pieces of the IKEA track I installed, but to solve the problem, I decided to attempt to bend the PVC trim board and route a track into the board with a keyhole router bit. This method allowed a smooth transition between the radius pieces and enabled the robot to move seamlessly along the track. With the track in place, I installed the Switch Bot Curtain U-Rail Robot and can now control the curtains using a smartphone app, voice commands, or remote control, making it more convenient to regulate the amount of light and heat entering our living space. I recommend the Switch Bot Curtain U-Rail Robot and suggest using this method to create a smooth track for optimal performance.
